Backups on your schedule. Recovery — in minutes
Set a schedule in the panel — and images of your server are created automatically, without scripts or cron. A risky update went wrong? A snapshot restores the server to a working state in minutes, not overnight.
Backups or Snapshots?
These are different tools, not replacements for each other — use both
Backups — disaster insurance on a schedule
Automatic images of the whole disk on the schedule you set in the panel. Copies are stored separately from the server, with no count limits, and restore the server completely.
When it saves you: disk failure, ransomware, an accidentally deleted database or server compromise.
20% of the instance cost/monthSnapshots — an undo button for the server
An instant state capture in one click — before an OS upgrade, DB migration, module installation or deployment. Roll back in minutes to the previous state.
When it saves you: an update broke the service — roll back in minutes.
$0.10/GB/month — storage only
Together: a snapshot before every manual change and a backup as an automatic daily shield. These are different tools, not replacements for each other.
Paranoid level: the 3-2-1 rule
The industry standard: 3 copies of data, 2 different storage systems, 1 copy in another location
| Level | Tool | What it protects against |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Working data | instance on NVMe | Primary working copy |
| 2. Auto-backup | Backups on your schedule | Disk failure and human error |
| 3. Geo-copy | dumps in Object Storage, another location | Fire, blackout or outage of the whole data center |
A geo-copy of a 100 GB database is $0.13/month ($0.0013/GB/month), and the upload itself costs nothing: traffic to Object Storage is free and unlimited. About Object Storage.
Pricing
Transparent and predictable: turn off backups and billing stops
| What | Price | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Backups (scheduled images) | 20% of the instance cost | $12/month instance → $2.40/month for backups |
| Snapshots | $0.10/GB/month — storage only | 40 GB snapshot → $4/month |
| Copy retention | no limits — you pay for volume | keep even 20 restore points |
| Geo-copy in Object Storage | $0.0013/GB/month (traffic free) | 100 GB → $0.13/month |
Payment in UAH at the NBU rate. Instance resource prices follow Cloud Instance rates.
How to restore
Three steps to remove the fear of what happens if it does not work
Choose a copy
The panel lists the instance's backups and snapshots with dates.
Click Restore
Restore to the same instance, or create an image from the backup and deploy a new one.
Check the service
A typical full server restore takes up to 10 minutes.
Bonus: a backup means server cloning
From any backup you can create an image and start a new instance. This enables three common scenarios: a restore test with no risk to production · a production-to-staging clone in 10 minutes · replicating a configured server for new projects.
Frequently asked questions
One outage costs more than a year of backups
Backups for a $12 server are $2.40 a month. A lost database means weeks of recovery and lost customers.
